Other Committee Reports:
Fishbake Committee: Lion Tina reported that she now has the tickets for the Fishbake and it is timely for our members o start selling them. Our largest income is not from the sales of these tickets but is from the sponsorships we sell. It is still important to sell the tickets to keep the Fishbake going and gain the sponsorships which do provide the funds for our charitable giving. Lion Tina, again, emphasized selling the sponsorships and encouraged use of the letter and flyer she had put together for us. To better prepare for the Fishbake we will have a special meeting on Monday, July 25, at 6:30 PM, to finalize the preparations.

Membership: The Membership Committee (Lions Sang, Terri and Ken M.)  is preparing to launch an active campaign to increase our Club's membership during the coming year. All Club members are urged to prepare for and actively support this effort. We need new and younger members to support continuation of the Club and improve our Charitable activities.

New Business:
On June 1st the Club awarded Scholarship Certificates and Financial Rewards to the top two students at Pioneer Jr. High and Upland Jr. High. The Club has been making this scholarship award at Upland Junior High since 1930 (86 years). The award is to recognize, for scholarship, the top girl and top boy at each of Uplands Jr. High Schools.

The annual New Officer Training for all individual Club Officers elected for the 2016/2017 Club Year was held on June 11th at the Brea Scout Center. Our Club President, Second Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary attended this training. Unfortunately our 1st Vice President was unable to attend due to illness.
