December 1, 2014 - Tonight was the Upland Host Lions Christmas Party. Twenty members and guests were in attendance at the party and a great time was had by all. Lions Michael and Tina provided a wonderful Christmas feast for us, which was enjoyed and appreciated by everyone. We had fun with the "Mrs. Right" game with all the prizes going to our bride to be (December 13, 2014) and her fiancé Zack. Everyone was requested to bring a Christmas Ornament to be used in the game. Unknown to Lion Tina and Her fiancé, Zack, when the game was over all of those ornaments were given to Tina and Zack for their first married Christmas. Unfortunately, yours truly, your friendly Bulletin Man, fouled up. I took a lot of pictures (great pictures by the way). Upon trying to use them I discovered my camera was set for "video" not still pictures and when I attempted to put them on my computer for this bulletin, it didn't work. I tried everything including a call to Olympus (the camera manufacturer) and no one could help me recover individual pictures. I could get individual pictures on the camera playback but couldn't transfer them as individuals. I did get one picture, not on video and it is shown below. Sorry about the sc__w-up but I at least got one picture and the party was great.

Other Items Worthy of Mention:
On November 27 Lions Madeleine and Keith and Madeleine's friend Kathy helped serve Thanksgiving meals to the homeless and needy at the Ontario Salvation Army.On December 6th members of Upland Host Lions assisted the Upland Parks and Recreation Department in successful support of Upland's annual Christmas Parade. This help consisted of registration of participants and directing their parking.
On December 7th Lion Keith assisted in serving breakfast for 30 homeless people at the LifePoint Church in Rancho Cucamonga.
On December 12th five members of Upland Host Lions will be Bell Ringers for the Salvation Army's annual fund raising effort.
