Programs - February - 2015

February 2, 2015 - This was our Monthly Board Meeting. Minutes of this meeting were published on the Club's blog and made available to all Club members for their review and comment. A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the Minutes as presented.

February 16, 2015 - Our monthly general meeting hosted the Annual Student Speakers Contest. This year we had three student speakers from Claremont High School. The topic chosen for the speakers this year was "Water Conservation - How Do We Reduce, Recycle and Reclaim Water". All three speakers did a good job presenting their views on water conservation. The winning speaker was Miss Sophia Helland.

Today we were fortunate and had five judges for our contest. We thank those judges for giving

of their time and expertise in judging these young students.

Other Items Worthy of Mention:

Of importance to us during the month of March is our Fund Raiser, Lions Comedy Night to be presented on Friday night, March 27th, 6:30 PM at Life Point Church. 100% of the net profits from this fund raiser is to be donated to the proposed Veterans Monument which is being planned for the City of Upland.

Visitations: A February visitation is planned at the Ontario/Upland Lions Bunco Night on February 28th.
