Board Meeting Minutes In Attendance:

Secretary's Report:

The Secretary's Board Meeting Minutes for April, 2017 were placed on the Club's blog for everyone to review and comment.

Treasurer's Report:

Treasurer Lion Ken B. reported the Club's financial status as follows:
Admin. Acct.: April 3, 2017 - $ 4230.67 May 1, 2017 - $ 3,604.60
Activity Acct.: April 3, 2017 - $11,967.65 May 1, 2017 - $11,506.18

Other Committee Reports:

Membership: No changes in membership to report this month.

LEO Club: Lion Joey reported on the planned LEO Club formation meeting, held on April 24th. Seven Upland Host members attended this meeting. Unfortunately only one potential member appeared at the meeting and she expressed much interest in being in the Club. Lion Joey will follow-up with her. Joey has, also, followed up by going to Upland schools to create more awareness of LEOs and interest the school children in being part of the Club to be involved in community service. The next LEO meeting will be at Landacena Community Center at 6:30 PM on Monday May 22nd.

Annual Fund Raiser: As has been mentioned in past reporting the Club will be unable to hold our annual Fishbake/ Steak Fry at Memorial Park and our plan to move to Magnolia Park was unsuccessful. We are going to hold the event at the Gibson Senior Center in Upland. This fund raiser will be on Friday, August 4th and will now be called "Lions Family Feed and Fun". Food will be provided by the "Habit"

Visitations: No visitations are scheduled for the month of May.

Old Old Business:

No old business, other than that mentioned above, was discussed at this meeting.

New Business:

Tonight the Club group photo for 2016/2017 was taken. This photo is the group photo to used in the annual Club booklet.

Most important, the 2017/2018 officer elections were held. The new executive officers elected to guide our Club during the 2017/2018 Lions year are:

President - Lion Joey Amaro

Vice President - Lion Sandra Watts

Secretary - Lion Beverly Sugerman

Treasurer - Lion James Krumwiede

The installation of these new officers will take place on Monday, June 19th at the Landacena Community Center. A pot luck dinner will be held at the time of the installation.

Next Meeting:

The Club's next meeting will be on May 15, 2017, 6:30 PM at El Perico Ranchero Restaurant, 1401 E. Foothill Blvd., Upland. This will be our monthly General Meeting.
